When are Canada’s ULTIMATE 50/50 draws?

The Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 runs from December 19 – January 6. There are multiple draws in the provinces of Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Alberta. Please refer to the schedule provided on  Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 page for more details.

How many Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 draws are there?

 There are three draws in each province:

  • Draw #1 – December 19 - 27
    • Draw date: December 27 at 10 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. MT
  • Draw #2 – December 27 – January 1
    • Draw date: January 1 at 10 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. MT
  • Draw #3 – January 1 - 6
    • Draw date: January 6 at 10 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. MT

*Draw dates are subject to change and do not currently include the early-bird prizing draws

How can I enter Canada’s Ultimate 50/50?

You must be in the province of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Alberta at the time of your purchase. Visit 5050@hockeycanada.ca. Follow the prompts on the page to purchase. The website uses geo-fencing technology to ensure you are in the province selected.

Note: You must be of legal age to purchase tickets in the province of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Alberta. Please refer to the Eligibility section of the Rules of Play on the provincial page for information.

How much are Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 tickets?

One ticket for $10, 40 tickets for $20, 90 tickets for $30 and 250 tickets for $50.

Can I play/buy more than one time for each draw?

There is no limit on ticket purchases for each draw.

What time do draws open and what time do they close at for each draw?

Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 draws open and close at various times. Please refer to the Rules of Play for specific details.

Where do the charitable proceeds of the 50/50 sales go towards?

Proceeds from Canada’s Ultimate 50/50 program will benefit organizations that work towards greater safety and inclusiveness in and around hockey, including but not limited to diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, and women’s & girls’ hockey programming.

The net proceeds from your purchase go to initiatives in your province, ensuring that you are directly contributing to meaningful change close to home.

How do I receive my tickets?

You will receive an email confirmation with your tickets following your payment. Your email address must be entered correctly with no errors when purchasing to ensure you receive your tickets.

How long does it take to receive my 50/50 tickets once purchased?

You should receive your tickets within an hour. If your transaction is approved, you will be directed to a web page displaying your confirmation ID. You will also receive an email containing the same confirmation ID as provided on the web page. Finally, you will receive a second email containing your 50/50 raffle numbers.

Please note that due to high sales volume, it can take up to an hour to receive your second email. Ticket purchasers are required to enter their email address correctly with no errors when purchasing to ensure they receive their tickets. If you do not receive your tickets within an hour, check your spam and junk mail folders. If your tickets are not in your spam or junk mail folders, please email 5050@hockeycanada.ca.

Am I able to get a refund?

All ticket sales are final. There will be no refunds issued to anyone for any reason. All tickets purchased and entered into the draw cannot be refunded, including if ticket purchasers made an error in selecting the number of tickets they desire to purchase.

Can I gift my ticket(s)?

Tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable. The prize will be awarded to the individual whose name appears on the ticket purchase.

How do I check to see if my ticket(s) won?

Check your 50/50 ticket numbers on the Winning Numbers page for the provincial draw you entered. For more details, please refer to the Rules of Play.

Can I purchase tickets from anywhere?

A: No you cannot purchase tickets from anywhere, you must be located within the province selected at the time of purchase to be eligible to enter into the Canada's Ultimate 50/50 draw.Why are only some provinces participating in Canada’s Ultimate 50/50? 

A: Hockey Canada strives to make our 50/50 program available to everyone across Canada, however gambling regulations are provincially regulated, and at this time we have secured licenses in Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. We are working to expand to other regions in Canada in the near future.
